It can be seen from the first graph, the world population increased gradually from 0.9 billion to 2.5 billion between 1800 and 1950, thereafter global population rate grew and will grow dramatically from 2.5 billion to 9 billion over the period 1950 and 2050. Afterwards, it is projected that the figure will fall from a high of 9 billion to 7 billion until 2050.
It is clear from the bar chart urban population in Developed regions remained and will remain unchanged at about 1.3 billion between 2005 and 2030 according to the projection. Meanwhile, urban population in Developing regions rose by approximately 0.7 billion and it is forecast that the growth will continue, by 2030 it will have topped to 4 billion.
Overall, world population was and will be on the rise. Moreover, Developing regions had and will have more urban population than Developed regions.
