Increasing the price of petrol is the best way to solve growing traffic and pollution problems.

There  is   little  room    for   doubt  that    cars   have significantly facilitated    our  life   .   They, however,   cause  many   problems    such  as   traffic  jams   on roads  and  air  pollution.  Some  people    maintain  that    the  most  effective   solution   to   above- mentioned  issues   would  be    an escalated    price  of petrol.  Others, in  turn,  don`t  share   this   view  and   offer     other     potential  options.    I  disagree   with   this statement    and    in  the   following  paragraphs     support   own   opinion   and  give    some  suggestions   to   cope   with   this   all- concerning   problem.

     There  are      many  reasons   why    increasing   the  price   of  petrol   brings  little   effect, if  any.  The   roots  of   fiasco  are  not    hard   to  determine.  Firstly,  the  main    obstacle   to  this   idea  is  the  lack   of    alternative   source  of   energy   for   vehicles.  Secondly,    it  is    the  fact  that   there  are   not  well- organized   public  transport   system   in  most  developing   cities.   Therefore,    costly    petrol   will  only    deteriorate   the life   of  ordinary    people   and  lead  to    protestations  in  large    scales.    Basis  on   these  facts      and  others   it  is  naïve  to  believe   in   the   effectiveness   of    a suggested   solution.

     When  it  comes   to    other    potential   solutions   it   would  be   better   if   governments   invest  more  money   onto   introduction   and   development  of  electric   cars    rather    than    unnecessary    festivals    and  events  like  Oktoberfest.    Also   implementing   more   bicycles    in  small  cities   will  mitigate         the   problem   as   they  are   eco- friendly   .   As  well  as  this ,   governments, after   spreading   of  electric  cars,  should     increase   the  price  of   diesel   vehicles.  If  people   have   petrol  cars   they  have  to   buy  even  expensive   fuel.  But  if     they   can`t   afford    diesel  vehicle     they  will  purchase   electric  cars    and   there  is  no  need    for   fossil  fuels.

  To  sum  up   it   is  my  view   that  there are   many  other    ways  to    relieve  the  traffic  and pollution   problems.   But   they   should  be    supported   by   government  and   other    influential   conglomerates.
