It’s important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction.

What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behaviour to children?

Agree: children perform accordingly their parent’s reaction towards their actions

Punishment: cut their entertainment

Well-being of their children is a care of many parents. Therefore, some people make it vital to teach their children right and wrong at their early ages and they consider punishment as a way of teaching this notion. From a point of an individual, I support this method of teaching. In the following paragraphs there will be given some proofs for my agreement and some possible ways of punishment.

As children become curious at the initial stage of their life, they easily tend to test everything they face. Their action is linked to their parent’s reactions, as well. Therefore, parents should use punishment for children to distinguish goodness from badness.

There are many punishments for parents and teachers to use on the way of teaching children to differ right and wrong. One alternative would be a corporal punishment when children react improperly. It is children behaviour that if they are penalized for something, they will not repeat this action again. Thus, a light hitting can be a panacea in this case. A further solution is to cut the amount of entertainment for children if they are inclined to do wrong things. By making them far away from their lovely activities, like playing computers or eating candies, parent can curb them from bad habits.

In conclusion, we should practise punishment as the way of teaching our children white and black and corporal punishment and limiting entertaining are some examples of many to discipline our children. Parents in collaborate with teachers should choose an optimal punishment considering a child’s temperament and reaction to the selected one.
