Nowadays, the problem of smoking is becoming a headache for many people. It is especially, prevalent among younger generation. Due to the lack of parents’ attention to their children, they are getting addicted to bad habits, such as smoking. Consequently, young people are taking a high risk of suffering from incurable diseases like, cancer and tuberculosis. The aim of this essay is to offer some solutions with their possible outcomes to this issue.

One possible solution to address this problem is to promote antismoking activities by TV programs or other source of mass media. As recent surveys show that most of the youth are taking up smoking because of not being aware of its devastating consequences. If the harms of smoking were known by young people, they would think carefully before lighting their cigarettes. So, with the help of mass propaganda, the society we live in would less suffer from tobacco addiction of the youth.

Another step which should be taken in order to deal with the smoking among youngsters is to make children busy with some useful activities. Sport for example, is not only to keep them far from harmful smoking, but also leads the youth to a healthy life style. By involving in different helpful extracurricular activities after classes, young children can lay the foundation for the future life rather than spoiling it by taking up smoking. Thus, it is clear that making children busy, addiction to smoking can be avoided.

In conclusion, there are many measures could be taken to combat this problem. If governments and parents alike were to collaborate on fighting against youth smoking, the results would be more productive.
