Well, there are a couple of shortcomings involved here. However, the most significant would be that air fares are always expensive.  This is problematic because not all people can afford to fly by planes.  Correspondingly, an additional weak point may be that travelling by air is considered dangerous and risky by some people. And the trouble with this is that consequently they get into stress or refute to fly.
